On the 21st of April the Oxford Companions of the Order of Malta held there annual Easter lunch for the Homeless. In addition to their weekly soup runs and meal delivery services at Christmas and Easter, the Companions prepare a three-course meal and invite members of the local homeless community to be served by the young members and volunteers, with each guest receiving an Easter card and Easter egg. This year, 12 volunteers served 40 guests, and in addition to the meal and gifts, each guest was also given the opportunity to take a shower and receive hot drinks as well as socks and other toiletries.
