Families in Chile who cannot afford healthcare for their children suffering from long-term illness are being cared for by the Order in Chile. The children would otherwise suffer alone and away from family and friends. The Order provides these children with rehabilitation programmes and specialist apparatus, reducing their time in hospital. Families are also offered transport between the hospital and their homes, allowing them to attend regular physiotherapy sessions.
